The video for today is one of my all time favorite guilty pleasures. And when I say "guilty pleasures" I mean... I can watch these for days and days and days. But not everybody enjoys this kind of entertainment.

The Spoken Word, Slam Poetry, Performance Poetry.... call it what you will.... I LOVE watching these videos.

This is one of my favorite ones. Saray Kay is amazing. This is also from TED talks... so it's her whole 20 minute slot. She talks about learning through poetry and writing from your heart. It just gives me the chills. =] Enjoy.

FloorMates

Today I made the long and arduous journey from Sandy, UT aaaaaaaallll the way to good old Cedar City.

Arduous? Really? Ok.... the three and half hour journey ha ha. My floormate Megan drove with me, so I was not alone.

Megan and I actually went to the same high school and we were both in the Performing Arts department but she was in VE and I was in Productions. We have become good friends and I love having her on my floor.

Anyway, Megan and her roommate Caitlin and over at my apartment sitting on our computers. Facebook, YouTube... etc. But we are still talking...kinda ha ha. We are going have a sleepover in my living room and bring our matresses to sleep on, watch a movie, and do other girls things ha ha.

I was really sad to come back. I really really didn't want to. I didn't like the way I felt when I was here. I felt alone and helpless. It wasn't the brightest time in my life. But now that I am here with Megan and Caitlin, I feel better and I have hope that this semester will be better than the last. I will make this semester better in every way that I can. I think I just got caught up in the "hype" of college, that I forgot to take care of how I felt. But that will not happen this year. I will be the best Sarah I have ever been.

I do not drink....but I do find this very funny. I've watched almost every YDAD thanks to my friend Melissa. She showed me them and I have been hooked ever since.

So, I recieved a letter from my auntie Rosanna the other day. So last night I wrote her back. I'm excited for her to be my pen pal =] Also, my friends Kate and Ashley (no not Mary-Kate and Ashley ha ha) both decided to be my pen pals. I'm liking the idea of writing letters more than texting or writing on walls on Facebook. Ya know? You get to write more about your week and how you are really doing. Because when you write it online, everyone can see it. And there is some stuff that not everybody needs to know. I hope to gain more pen pals over the next little while. Like friends from back home and everything.

Well this was kind of a pointless post. But oh well. =] pretty picture, huh? i took it!

12:26 am.

So...... Today was very crappy.

I was on the verge...

Almost tipping over the edge....

Then I came to terms with the fact that I have nothing really in my life....

And I started to cry. No not cry... bawl.

You see, it all started while I was looking at Peter Pan pictures while sitting on my couch. Then I realized I had no friends. And that I'm alone, and sad, betrayed, alone, yadda yadda yadda. It hit me hard and of course, right on cue, tears welled up and rushed down my face.

And to add the happy cherry on top of my awful Sundae... someone put a fake rat in my cupboard.... I know they didn't mean anything by it. But it was the straw that broke the camels back and sent me into hysterics...

I just feel so.... unimportant.

I FEEL LOST.

I don't know what to do.....
